History

The Chemical-Technological Faculty was born together with the Institute in 1898. The first graduation of engineers took place in 1903, and the Head of the Examining Board was Dmitri Mendeleev. From the earliest days till now the faculty belongs to the most respected institutions in the world chemical science due to the contributions made by the distinguished scientist. The academic and scientific staff still keeps and develops the best traditions of the art of teaching and creative scientific research established by such internationally acclaimed scientists and brilliant educators as academicians L. Pisarzhevsky, V. Plotnikov, Professors M. Konovalov, K. Dementyev and others.
