TECHNOLOGIES OF INORGANIC SUBSTANCES, WATER TREATMENT AND GENERAL CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY
The department of Technologies of Inorganic Substances, Water Treatment General Chemical Technology is one of the oldest in Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It was founded in September 1898 in the chemical department, which later became the Faculty of Chemical Technology.

The water treatment direction is extremely important both in everyday life and in industry, because this industrial sector provides the preparation of drinking water of proper quality and wastewater treatment, which can cause significant damage to the environment.

The department is engaged in the following areas of research:
- Development of new methods and tools (coagulants, sorbents, membranes, flocculants) water production and water treatment.
- Synthesis and use of nanomaterials (nanochemistry).
- Development and research of new catalysts and chemical technologies
products. - Development of methods for waste disposal and emissions of various origins (applied ecology).
During the period of study, students have the opportunity to undergo internships (up to two years) in foreign universities and companies and receive a double diploma (KPI and a foreign university).
